Tales From the South

Tales from the South features true stories told by the people who lived them and showcases Arkansans.  Contributors are from all walks of life and include professional writers as well as those who have never been published.

Tales from the South is uniquely southern, in that while we don't require that stories are set in Arkansas or the South (though a majority are), writers must be either originally from Arkansas or live here currently, and the distinct southern art of storytelling rich in language, detail, and voice is alive in all of them.

Topics range from everyday occurences to life-altering tragedies, and upcoming shows will feature Arkansas teachers, students, and professions (such as policemen and firefighters).  Tales from the South is also working to feature special shows of oral histories from the Delta.

We welcome submissions from Arkansans. Click here to learn more.

Tales was created and produced by A Way With Words Writing Workshops.
