WoodSongs Seeks Arkansas Artists For International Broadcast

Are you an Arkansas musician who plays grassroots, folk, Americana, blues or bluegrass? Here's an opportunity to appear on radio and television stations around the world!

WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour, the internationally syndicated radio program broadcast Thursdays at 8 p.m. on KUAR, will come to central Arkansas March 31, 2012, at 7:30 p.m.

The show will feature performances by Arkansas musicians. As media sponsor of WoodSongs, KUAR has been charged by host and executive producer Michael Johnathon to accept submissions from Arkansas performers who want to audition for the show. The Arkansas show will be part of the University of Central Arkansas’s Public Appearances series in Conway and later broadcast on nearly 500 radio affiliates, public television, XM Satellite Radio and as a live webcast.

To be considered for the Arkansas edition of the WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour, submit two CDs, a press kit and a brief cover letter to:

WoodSongs c/o UALR Public Radio

5820 Asher Ave., Suite 400

Little Rock, AR 72204

The deadline for entries is February 1. Performer selections for the show will be announced after February 15.
