Izzy Trivia

Izzy's opening and closing theme is from The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra by Benjamin Britten.

The recordings of Dvorak's 8th Symphony used in episodes 002 and 003, Copland's Appalachian Spring in episode 003, and Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition in episode 003 and 039 are actually the Conway Symphony Orchestra conducted by Israel Getzov.

Izzy does play one complete composition - the 18-second long Andante in C, K. 1 by Mozart in episode 013 Young Composers.

Goodbye Old Paint in episode 033 The Old West is sung by a real cowboy, Jeff Morris, from a recording made for the Library of Congress Archive of Folk Culture in 1942.

How Izzy is Done

Israel Getzov records his voice tracks in the KLRE Control Room.
