Arkansas Symphony Previews with Philip Mann, Wednesdays at 3pm on KLRE
  Join us on Wednesdays at 3pm during August and September for special previews of the six upcoming Masterworks concerts of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.  We'll be joined by ASO Music Director Philip Mann for a look at the music and the musicians, and we will hear some of the works to be featured.

Tune to KLRE, Classical 90.5, on Wednesday afternoons at 3 o'clock, beginning August 4th.  Be sure to also join us for At the Symphony with ASO Associate Conductor Geoffrey Robson, heard Thursday mornings at 11 and Friday evenings at 7 before each of the Masterworks concerts.

Peter DuBois appointed host of With Heart and Voice
 
Peter DuBois has been named host of With Heart and Voice, a program of sacred and organ music that airs Sundays at 2pm on KLRE, Classical 90.5.  Heard on more than 100 public radio stations nationwide, the program spans the full range of Western religious music, from the Gothic period to the 21st century.

With Heart and Voice began in 1975 on WXXI-FM in Rochester, New York.  It was hosted by Richard Gladwell until he passed away in October of 2009.

Peter DuBois is Director of Music at Third Church in Rochester and Director of the Sacred Music Diploma Program at the Eastman School of Music.  He has performed as an organ recitalist throughout the United States and abroad at such places as Notre-Dame de Paris, St. Paul's Cathedral in London, and the Basilica of Sainte-Clotilde in Paris.

IZZY INVESTIGATES

Join Conway Symphony Music Director Israel Getzov as he investigates the many aspects of classical music on 
Izzy Investigates.  Included in Izzy's magnifying glass are composers and their works, performers, instruments of the orchestra, musical terms, the science of audio, and more.

Izzy Investigates is heard every Thursday at 9am just before Performance Today, and again Sundays at 4pm before the weekend edition of Performance Today, on Classical 90.5.

THE ARTS SCENE
Ann Nicholson has produced and hosted the weekly fine arts magazine The Arts Scene since 1985.  Ann's focus includes musicians, actors, authors, and people active in the arts community, providing a personal background to the many cultural events in central Arkansas.

The Arts Scene is heard Sunday morning at 10 o'clock on KUAR, FM89, and Sunday at noon on KLRE, Classical 90.5, followed on KLRE by New Letters on the Air.

AT THE SYMPHONY
Join us as Arkansas Symphony Associate Conductor Geoffrey Robson presents a radio preview of the orchestra's upcoming concerts.  At the Symphony is heard on Thursday morning at 11 and Friday evening at 7 before each of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra's Masterworks Concerts.  You can also listen to archive editions anytime online.

Our next broadcasts are Thursday, September 30th at 11am and Friday October 1st at 7pm.  Featured will be Bernstein's Candide Overture, the Piano Concerto in F by Gershwin, and Dvorak's New World Symphony.
