Kelly MacNeil Reporter / Assignment Editor
As a news reporter for KUAR, Kelly MacNeil covers local affairs, including politics, business, and environmental issues, for afternoon and morning newscasts. She also produces longer features and interviews, and helps make reporting assignments for the rest of the newsroom.
Kelly joined the news staff in February 2007 as the State Capitol correspondent, a role she's reprising for the 2009 legislative session. She has also served as the local anchor for All Things Considered and Morning Edition.
Kelly came to Arkansas from KUNM community radio in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she worked as a stringer. Prior to that, she was an agricultural volunteer with the Peace Corps for two years in Zacualpa, Guatemala.
Kelly has a B.A. in Telecommunication from Baylor University, with a minor in Spanish. Originally from New Hampshire, she resides in the Quapaw neighborhood of Little Rock. |
