Karen Tricot-Steward

As web communications manager, Karen oversees content on KUAR and KLRE's websites. She is responsible for exploring ways to take our services beyond radio and into the realm of interactive media.

Karen's experience with web communications started when she worked as a project manager and copywriter in the web department of Stone Ward, an advertising agency in Little Rock. She helped manage websites for clients like TCBY, Terminix, the Metro Little Rock Alliance, Heritage Physician Group, and the city of El Dorado. She has also worked as a web communications manager for Huntsman Cancer Institute in Utah.

For her news reporting, Karen has won several awards from the Arkansas Associated Press for stories on topics like the Little Rock mayoral race and Iraq war veterans in Arkansas. In addition to reporting duties, she has been an anchor and local host for Morning Edition, All Things Considered, and Weekend Edition.

Karen has a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
